Privacy Policy
Continuity Engine is designed to keep your project records and chat continuity data on your machine by default. This policy explains what Betweenware products handle, what stays local, and what third-party services are used for licensing, payment, and support.
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Continuity Engine reads supported AI chat pages only to provide user-requested continuity features such as transcript capture, local archive, context packaging, and hand-off injection. Saved transcript records are stored locally on your machine by default.
1. Products covered
This Privacy Policy applies to Betweenware products and websites, including Continuity Engine, related Chrome extension products, the Betweenware website, and customer support interactions.
2. Information Continuity Engine may handle
Continuity Engine and its browser extension may access content from supported browser-based AI pages when you use the product. This can include chat prompts, AI responses, project context, conversation structure, and related page information needed to capture, organize, export, or inject hand-off packages.
This page content is handled to provide the product's core functionality. Continuity Engine is not designed to send your saved transcript content to Betweenware by default.
3. Local storage
Continuity Engine stores project records, transcript archives, update packages, highlights, settings, logs, and related working files locally on your machine unless a feature explicitly tells you otherwise.
Because this data is stored locally, you are responsible for protecting your device, operating system account, backups, and local files.
4. Information Betweenware does not receive by default
Betweenware does not receive your saved chat transcripts, project archives, or hand-off packages by default. Betweenware does not sell your chat content. Betweenware does not use your chat transcript content for advertising.
If you choose to send logs, screenshots, transcript snippets, or other files to support, Betweenware may review what you voluntarily provide in order to help resolve your request.
5. Chrome extension permissions and Limited Use
Betweenware's Chrome extension permissions are used only to provide user-facing Continuity Engine functionality, such as reading supported AI chat pages, communicating with the local Continuity Engine app, supporting transcript capture, and helping inject user-approved hand-off content.
Betweenware's use of information received from Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this information, transfer it for advertising, or use it for purposes unrelated to the product's disclosed functionality.
6. Licensing and payments
Continuity Engine licensing may be handled through Keygen. Payment, subscription, receipt, tax, and checkout information may be handled through Lemon Squeezy. These services process the information needed to provide license activation, subscription management, billing, receipts, refunds, and customer account support.
Betweenware may receive or store customer account and license-related information such as email address, license status, product tier, order identifiers, subscription identifiers, and support history.
7. Updates and compatibility checks
Continuity Engine may use public Betweenware update/status information to help customers know whether a newer version is available or whether browser-interface compatibility has changed. This does not require uploading your saved transcript content to Betweenware.
8. Support communications
If you contact support, Betweenware may receive your email address, message content, attachments, screenshots, logs, order information, license information, and any other information you choose to provide. Support information is used to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, manage billing or licensing questions, and improve product reliability.
9. Browser-interface changes
Continuity Engine interacts with browser pages controlled by AI companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others. Those companies can change their browser interfaces, and such changes may temporarily affect Continuity Engine browser I/O functionality. Such changes do not alter chat transcripts already saved locally in Continuity Engine.
10. Data sale and advertising
Betweenware does not sell customer chat transcript content. Betweenware does not use customer chat transcript content for advertising. Betweenware does not transfer Chrome extension user data to advertising platforms.
11. Changes to this policy
Betweenware may update this Privacy Policy as products, features, services, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page.
